SIGNL Privacy Policy

SIGNL ("the Service") is a screen-intelligence platform for hospitality operators, provided by RiCreate Media LLC ("we," "us"), McAllen, Texas, USA. This policy describes what information the Service collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create a SIGNL account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials, managed through our infrastructure provider.

Business and operational data you provide. Information you enter to operate the Service: business and concept names, locations and addresses, rooms and screen placements, menus and menu items (names, prices, categories), screen groupings, and content assignments.

Device and signage data. Through signage-platform integrations you authorize (currently OptiSigns), the Service receives device identifiers, device names, software versions, heartbeat timestamps, online/offline status, and identifiers and names of the content (playlists and assets) assigned to your screens. The Service records periodic snapshots of device status to provide uptime history and alerts.

Integrations you authorize. If you connect additional services to SIGNL in the future (for example, point-of-sale or business-profile services), the Service will access only the data those integrations are scoped to provide, solely to deliver the features you enable. Credentials for connected services are stored encrypted and are never displayed back in the product.

Information we do not collect. The Service does not collect payment card information, does not record audio or video, and the current version of the Service does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. The landing site does not set cookies; the application uses only the session storage necessary to keep you signed in.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above solely to provide and improve the Service: displaying the status of your screens and locations, maintaining uptime history, verifying content, sending alerts you configure, and supporting your account. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your business data for advertising.

3. How information is shared

We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate SIGNL — currently cloud database and hosting infrastructure (Supabase) and the signage platforms you connect (currently OptiSigns) — each only to the extent required to provide the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected information.

4. Data retention

Account and business data are retained while your account is active. Device status history is retained to provide uptime and trend features and may be aggregated or pruned over time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact below.

5. Security

Data is stored with access controls that limit each account to its own business data. Integration credentials are stored in an encrypted secrets vault and are not accessible to client applications. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

6. Your rights and choices

You may access, correct, or delete the business data you have entered at any time within the Service. You may disconnect any authorized integration. For account deletion or data requests, contact us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law; we will honor verified requests consistent with those laws.

7. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves (for example, when new integrations launch). We will post the updated policy at this address with a revised effective date.
